Raymond is our sweet 2-year-old tabby boy.
Raymond has come a long way since coming into our care. Initially, he spent his time in the cattery hiding away in his bed. Fortunately, he had the opportunity to go to a foster home where he was allowed more space, where it gave him the chance to settle into a routine, so we could see how he would behave in a home. He chose to hide for the first couple of weeks. His foster carer only knew he was there as his food was disappearing overnight!
After his couple of weeks hiding, Raymond made the brave choice that his foster carer was maybe not so bad after all and came out of hiding almost as if there had been no problem! While still skittish and warier of men rather than women, Raymond is now out and about and purrs when he gets attention.
We feel that Raymond would be suited to a quiet either adult only or with children over the age of 16.
We think that he will benefit from being given another safe place to hide for as long as he feels he needs and his new owners will need to give him a hands off approach for his settling in period. He is very much a cat who will need to be given the space and time to come out of hiding when he is ready. We believe that Raymond would be best suited to being the only animal in the home.
Raymond has a lot of potential with the right family and we can’t wait to see him flourish in his forever home.
