Alan is a handsome 3-year-old German Shepherd with a loving nature and a zest for life. Since coming into kennels, he has shown himself to be a friendly and affectionate boy with everyone he has met. He enjoys spending quality time with his handlers and will happily sit beside you, leaning in for strokes and attention.

Alan loves being out and about, whether that’s enjoying a walk, exploring new surroundings, or charging around the paddock doing his famous zoomies. He walks nicely on the lead and takes the world in with confidence, showing no issues around traffic, tractors, or even horses. His confidence has continued to blossom whilst in kennels, and he has proven himself to be a curious and adaptable boy who enjoys learning about his environment.

He is playful, full of character, and enjoys interacting with his toys and the people around him. Alan has also spent time off lead in the paddock with another well-matched dog, where he played appropriately and enjoyed short bursts of fun together.

As we have very little history from his previous home, Alan will need understanding owners who can continue to guide him positively, especially when it comes to learning how to be left alone gradually. He could potentially live with a compatible dog following introductions at the centre, and with sensible children aged 12+ who have experience around dogs.

Alan is a truly lovely boy who has so much affection and companionship to give to a family willing to give him the fresh start he deserves.
