Bear is a 1-year-old Staffie x Dogue de Bordeaux. He is a 30kg big boy who is about the size of a Labrador.
Bear is being rehomed from a family who are unable to give him the attention and exercise he needs long term. He is in foster care with them currently and is used to living in a home.
Bear would be best suited to a home with an active family. Who are able to keep up with his needs as a big dog. Bear can be nervous of new situations at times, so will benefit from lots of positive reward based training. Bear needs some more lead work, as he can get excited and pull, and as a 30kg boy, he had a lot of weight behind his pull.
He could live with another friendly dog as he has previously lived with a couple. He could live with children who are no younger than secondary school age. But no cats.
He is toilet trained and he can be left but has been left with another dog.
Bear has had routine x-rays where it showed signs of hip dysplasia. This is something that is not a problem currently but may need vet treatment in the future, if you have any questions about this, please get in touch.
