Meet Stacey 💙
Stacey is a wonderful, affectionate girl looking for her very own understanding forever home.
Once she knows and trusts you, Stacey is extremely loving. She is becoming braver when meeting new people and is good with other dogs. We think she would benefit from living with a confident resident dog who can help her feel more secure and encourage her to be brave when experiencing new things.
Stacey can be timid when unsure and may shut down when frightened, so she needs patient adopters who can read her, understand her needs and never rush her. She has already come such a long way.
Stacey came into our care with her four puppies and was a wonderful mum. She later went into foster care, initially very scared and shut down. Over six months, she has gradually learned to feel safe. She now ventures into the garden, enjoys some walks and has even been brave enough to enjoy countryside adventures! Busy roads can still worry her, and she needs time to process new environments at her own pace.
We think Stacey has some collie breeds in her and she is a clever girl who is beginning to understand training and enjoy learning.
Stacey needs a home where her adopters can give her plenty of time, patience and a predictable routine. Ideally, adopters should have no holidays planned for the first six months so she can settle and build confidence.
We are looking for a home:
• With children aged 10+
• Without cats, as she has not been cat tested
• Ideally with a confident resident dog
• With people committed to gentle, controlled training and socialisation
Stacey has made incredible progress and deserves a family who will continue her journey with kindness and understanding. 💙
Please note, due to the volume of applications, we can only respond to successful applicants. Viewings are by appointment only following a successful application, in line with our adoption procedure.
