Here at RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk & District Animal Centre we are urgently seeking loving homes for dogs in need.
We are appealing to the local community to open their hearts and homes to the many wonderful dogs currently in their care. These loyal companions are looking for a fresh start – and perhaps, a place in your heart.
One of their long-staying residents is Luna, a bright and bouncy 1-year-old Bully cross who has now spent over 70 days waiting for someone to take her home. Luna is full of life, affection, and energy – the kind of dog who’ll always greet you with a wagging tail and a smile. She’s looking for an adult-only home, where she can be the only pet and soak up all the love and attention she craves.
“She’s such a sweet girl,” staff and volunteers say. “But like many youngsters, she’s still learning how to behave on the lead. She’ll need a bit of guidance and training, but the bond you’ll build with her will be so rewarding.”
Also hoping to find her forever home is the gentle and affectionate Stormy, an 8-year-old girl with a big heart and a love for companionship. Stormy is a dream to walk – calm, polite on the lead, and happy to explore the world at your side. Despite her age, she’s full of life and would make the perfect adventure buddy.
Stormy thrives on human interaction and can become a little anxious when left alone, so she’s looking for a home where someone is around most of the day. She’ll also need a pet-free home, with older children aged 16+, and a family willing to help her settle in at her own pace.
“She just wants to be close to her people,” say her carers. “She’s incredibly loyal and loving, and would make such a devoted companion.”
