Skye is an approximately 2-year-old cat with an independent nature who is looking for a calm and understanding home to call her own.

Skye can be a little reserved when meeting new people, so a slow and controlled approach is always best. Rushed movements and overly enthusiastic interactions can make her nervous, but when given time and space, she’s happy to share your company - especially if treats are involved! She’ll often sniff or gently boop your hand before deciding whether she’s in the mood for fuss, and it’s not uncommon for her to pull away once she’s had enough. With patience and consistency, we hope her confidence with affection will continue to grow in her new home.

It’s really important that Skye joins a household that respects her boundaries and understands that social time is always on her terms. If she feels overwhelmed, Skye is very good at letting you know so as to not push her too far; reading her body language and allowing her space is key to building trust with her.
Since arriving at the cattery, Skye has made fantastic progress. She has grown in confidence, no longer hiding away in her bed or cat tree, and is now happily exploring her surroundings - an encouraging sign of how far she’s come.

We recommend Skye for a quieter home with no other pets, where she can truly relax and feel secure. Any children in the household should be aged 12+ and be cat-savvy, able to take things slowly and respect her need for space, especially during the first few weeks.
Skye uses her litter tray well and currently has her cat flap propped open, choosing to spend equal time inside and outside her pod. With the right home and a patient adopter, Skye has the potential to blossom into a wonderful, loyal companion.

If you’re looking for a cat who will reward kindness, understanding, and patience, Skye may just be the perfect match 🐾
