GIFTS IN WILLS
Leave a gift in your will
As a life-long animal lover, there’s no better way to show you care than by leaving a legacy to the RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch so we can continue helping local animals.

Five easy steps to making a Will
-
Add up the estimated value of your estate (that’s everything you’ve saved and own). Make a list of people and organisations you’d like to leave money, property or possessions to.
-
Appoint one or more executors (up to four) to carry out the terms of your Will. This can be a relative, friend or legal adviser.
-
Visit a legal adviser to draw up or update your Will. If you don’t have one, you can find one through the Law Society or STEP.
-
If you’re including a gift to the RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch we’ve included some suggested wording in the “Making a gift to the RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk Branch” section below.
-
Keep your Will in a safe place and tell someone you trust where it is. It’s also important to make a copy of your Will for your own records. Your legal adviser may be able to store your original Will.
Making a gift to the RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch
Every branch of the RSPCA is a separately registered charity and so to ensure your kind and generous gift reaches the RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch to help support its work helping rehabilitate and rehome animals rescued by the RSPCA please include the following wording in your Will:
I give the sum of £ ……………….. (or specify percentage of estate) to the RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch (Registered Charity Number: 232258) of New Cut Lane, Halsall, Southport, PR8 3DW for its general purposes and I declare that the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer of the said Branch shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy.
If you choose to remember the RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch in your Will, thank you. Gifts in Wills make up the majority of the funds we rely on to continue our important work with animals.
