Meet Smokey, a truly distinguished young gentleman looking for a calm home to call his own.

Smokey is a 1-year-old domestic shorthair who has been thriving in a foster home, where he’s had the time and space to let his true personality shine. Smokey has shown that he absolutely does want to be someone’s beloved pet - he simply needs someone that can understand he will not be rushed.

Sensitive and thoughtful, Smokey enjoys a peaceful environment. When approached calmly, he loves gentle strokes and will even wriggle around to guide your hand to his favourite spot (usually his belly!). When he’s in the mood for attention, he’ll charm you by weaving in and out of your legs and quietly asking for fuss.

Smokey bonds incredibly well with other cats and would truly benefit from having a confident resident cat in his new home to help him settle smoothly and feel secure. He adores feline company, so this is a must for him. In his previous environment, Smokey appears to have mostly experienced men, and in his foster home he warmed up to his male carer quickly (although he loves both equally now!)

Smokey’s ideal home would be calm and respectful of his boundaries, and he will be your best friend. Children should be aged 12+, and there must be at least one friendly resident cat. Smokey would prefer a dog-free home.

With patience, understanding, and a feline friend by his side, Smokey will make a wonderfully loyal and affectionate companion.
