Wally is a beautiful 5-year-old Saluki with a gentle and sensitive soul. Having spent much of his life living outdoors, he will need help learning about the comforts and routines of home life. At first, he may come across as a little distant or shy around new people, but this is simply his way of taking things at his own pace.
Wally is a reserved boy who prefers to make the first move when it comes to building trust. With patience and quiet understanding, he begins to form meaningful connections, showing just how loyal and affectionate he can be. True to his Saluki nature, he is calm, observant, and deeply intuitive.
He really enjoys his walks and is a pleasure to have on the lead, taking in the world around him with quiet curiosity. Wally will need access to a secure, fully fenced garden where he can safely enjoy his exercise and have the freedom to run and play - he especially loves a good burst of zoomies!
As he grows more comfortable, Wally is happy to accept affection, though he appreciates being able to choose when and how this happens. Due to his background, he will need a patient and committed home that can gently introduce him to everyday experiences, helping him adjust gradually with consistency and care.
Wally is searching for a calm and understanding home, ideally with someone who has an appreciation for sighthounds and their unique qualities. He can live with children aged 16 and over, but he will need to be the only pet in the home so he can feel safe and secure.
With time, kindness, and trust, Wally will make a deeply devoted companion for someone willing to let him blossom at his own pace.
