Mae is our gorgeous 7-week-old Jack Russell Terrier who will be ready to leave for her forever home from 16th July, when she turns 8 weeks old.

Mae is a bright, confident and energetic puppy who loves exploring and is already proving to be a quick learner. She'll thrive in an active home where she can enjoy plenty of outdoor adventures alongside ongoing training and mental stimulation. Jack Russell's are intelligent, fearless little dogs with a strong prey drive, so secure outdoor spaces and positive, consistent training are essential.

Jack Russell Terriers are famously lively, energetic, and fearless. They display a bold and confident demeanour with a natural inclination towards playfulness and curiosity. Their intelligence is notable, making them quick thinkers and problem solvers, yet their spirited nature can lead to mischievousness if not properly guided.

These terriers possess strong hunting and chasing instincts reflective of their working origins. Their high prey drive means they are prone to chasing small animals and require secure containment outdoors. Their energetic disposition is fuelled by mental and physical challenges, making them excellent participants in canine sports such as agility and flyball.

As a young puppy, Mae doesn't cope well with being left alone, so she's looking for a home where someone is around for much of the day. Early socialisation, recall and basic obedience will help her grow into a well-rounded companion.
