We’d like everyone to meet Otto! Our 17 kg, approximately 1 yr old kelpie crossbreed who to came to us after he was found kept in a bin along with other puppies and dogs.

Otto is great at many things, builds bonds with people, young, agile, knows a lot of commands and shows a real willingness to learn more. He also thoroughly enjoys playing with other dogs.

Because of Otto’s challenging start to life, he does have moments of being unsure and so has built some bad habits from this. Centre staff have worked hard with Otto to overcome this and we need adopters for him to carry on this work in his adoptive home.

We need adopters to understand that progress for Otto may not be linear and may be an ongoing process.

Otto is not a first time dog for anyone, Otto is a dog who presents an opportunity for the right person/family to make a genuinely life changing difference to a dog who needs a chance.

We are looking for an adoptive home for Otto where his adopters ideally have experience or knowledge of nervous / anxious dogs. And we are looking for an adult only home, so no children. We don’t think Otto would be suitable to live with a cat but we do think that he could be rehomed with another steady dog, following successful meet and greets.
