Meet Patch 💙🐾

Patch is a young French Bulldog, believed to be between 6 and 12 months old, looking for a very special forever home.

Patch is deaf and although we first thought he was struggling with his sight, he has shown us that he can see movement and navigate his surroundings well. He doesn't walk into things and is alert and responsive. He sometimes reacts to vibrations, and we believe that with patience and positive training he will continue to flourish.

Sadly, Patch came from a background of neglect, leaving him lacking confidence and with some separation anxiety. He can be left alone for short periods, but becomes distressed if someone is home and he is shut behind a door away from them. His new family will need to understand his needs and help him build confidence at his own pace.

Patch is incredibly affectionate and loves people. He would thrive in a home where someone is around for much of the day, especially while he settles. The outside world can still feel overwhelming, so he'll need gentle encouragement and patience. He travels much better when someone sits with him in the car and he is already house-trained.

He plays with his toys and regularly does zoomies around the garden in his foster home! His foster home have said that he is a lovely dog to have around and is not held back by his deafness at all, just seems like a happy dog!

We feel Patch would be happiest as the only dog or with a calm, older neutered female. He is not suited to a home with cats and would be best with children aged 12+. Patch would benefit from his own private, secure garden to ensure his safety due to being deaf.

Patch has already come so far. All he needs now is a patient, understanding family willing to see the amazing little dog behind his difficult start. In return, you'll gain the most loving, loyal companion who deserves the chance to finally feel safe.

We do not facilitate walk-a-rounds of our animal centre, and all adoption must start with a successful application. Due to working as a small team we are unable to respond to every application, we will only reach out to those that are successful or to talk about an interesting application in more detail.
