Dogs for Adoption
We’ve got a variety of dogs, waiting for their happy ever after.
Meet them below.
Avery
Introducing Avery, our 1 year old girl looking for the Perfect human for her!
Avery is a young friendly girl who loves attention and spending time with you. She hasn’t had a very good start in life, she hasn’t spent any time in a home environment or experienced any home comforts. Her experience with the outside world is limited and everything will be new to her. She will need support, guidance and reassurance in new situations and encouragement in daily activities. She is working on her basic commands and how to walk nicely on a lead and doing well with this. She is looking for a home with someone who can give her time, patience and who understands her needs and won’t leave her for long periods.
She can be a little excitable and needs to learn to be calm, this will come with routine, consistency, and being shown things in everyday life.
She is looking for a home where she is able to decompress, to learn new things at her pace and what she is comfortable with. Avery is happy to be around other dogs and is not reactive towards them, however she is very excitable and can be overwhelmed so for this reason why think she’d be best suited to a home where she is the only pet.
Avery is very friendly, enjoys peoples company and will make a lovely addition to the right household.
She could live with children 16+ but needs to be the only pet in the household.
If you think Avery is your perfect match, please fill out a Perfect Match Form and email it to info@rspcasouthport.net to be considered! Please note we only respond to successful applicants due to the volume of applications we receive.

Nelson

Everyone give a warm woof to Nelson! Our 1 year old brindle bully X looking for his new home!
Nelson is a sweet boy that loves people, treats and his toys. Nelson loves a good game of fetch and will always give up his toy by your feet and wait patiently for you to throw it again for him. Nelson is incredibly driven by both food and toys, making him very susceptible to training. He knows a lot of basic commands and is doing very well learning loose lead walking.
When Nelson was a younger pup, he lived in a lovely foster home where he thrived and learnt lots about what being in a loving home felt like. But since then, he has had to come back to the kennels and he is really struggling being away from people for such a length of time. Due to the stress of being back in kennels, and his love for human contact, he can get very excitable and start jumping up and mouthing at his handler. With this, he is working on his manners and keeping a calmer manner when around people at the centre.
Nelson along with his littermates came in to kennels after a bad start to life. They came into RSPCA care at an age where we had missed the vital socialising stage of a young pup. Due to this, Nelson can be quite a nervous boy at times when he is presented with new things or environments. Nelson is looking for a home with someone who will be by his side encouraging and guiding him if he were to be unsure of something.
Due to his love of people and his uncertainty with new things, Nelson is looking for a home where he will have human company with him most of the time. He is also looking for a calm home where children are 16+.
Nelson gets along with other dogs, and wants to play with them, but he can be a bit much at times as he can be quite non-stop. Nelson is best suited to a home where he is the only animal so that he has time to decompress and relax. This doesn’t mean that he can’t have doggy friends to walk with though!
If you think Nelson would be a perfect fit in your home, please send in a completed perfect match form to info@rspcasouthport.net to be considered. If you are successful, we will contact you with the next steps!
Luna
Meet Luna, our lovely 1 year old bull breed who is now searching for her forever home!
She is a friendly, young girl who is very excitable and needy. She loves people and likes to be with you all the time, as this makes her feel safe.
Luna needs the time to decompress, and to learn how to be calm and relaxed once she is in her new environment.
As she is still so young, new owners will need to continue her positive reward based training, to include lead work as she can pull on the lead.
Luna also needs a home with consistency and routine to help her become a well-rounded adult dog.
She is looking for an adult only home with no other animals, and with someone who is home most of the time.
If you are interested in applying for this sweet girl, please send a perfect match form to info@rspcasouthport.net

Donovan

Here is Donovan, our friendly 1 year old bully X.
Donovan is quite a happy go lucky dog when it comes to life. This big boy managed to find himself a perfect foster home for him to grow up in, and because of this, he has grown up to be a generally well socialised and happy dog. He currently lives with a female border collie who he gets along with quite well, he has lived with her and her pawrents since he was a young pup. Donovan does however struggle seeing other dogs when out and about and prefers not to interact with them at all. He can cope with strange dogs at a distance but he needs his new pawrents to help him build lots of condidence when it comes to seeing these strange dogs in close proximity. If Donovan is introduced to dogs properly and not nose to nose, then he finds this a lot less stressful.
Donovan really enjoys his training, he is also toilet trained and crate trained. He is quite a sweet and inquisitive toys, proving his smart brain when it comes to trying out new interactive puzzle feeders which make him think as well as build his confidence with a new item.
At times, Donovan can show signs of nervousness like his brother Nelson. This is due to them missing out on the vital socialising stage as young pups. Despite this though, Donovan has done amazingly at growing up to be such a smart and sweet boy.
Donovan is ideally looking for a home where he is the only pet, although he may potentially be able to live with a dog-savvy cat. He is also looking for a family where children are no younger than 16 years old.
If you are interested in adopting this big cuddly boy, then please send in a perfect match form to info@rspcasouthport.net.
Chase
Everyone meet Chase, our big, friendly 2-year-old playful cane corso X.Chase acts like he is still a young pup (despite being 35kg+), he loves being out of his kennel, running around the paddock or sensory garden, or even going on a nice offsite walk. On his walks he takes everything in and is interested in his environment and what’s going on around him. He enjoys sniffing and walks nicely after an initial excitement of going out.He likes the company of other dogs and has played nicely at the centre with a female of similar size to him.Chase can sometimes be a little unsure in new environments and situations and can be seen to be stop and observe unfamiliar things and appears to be curious and intrigued. He loves his food and loves to play with toys. He knows basic commands but will require more reward based training and continued socialising to help him continue to flourish. Chase enjoys learning new things through short bursts of training sessions integrated with his playtime.Chase hasn’t spent much time in a home environment, he will need toilet training and helped in his new home to adjust. He is looking for an active household who can give him plenty of exercise to keep him happy and healthy. We believe he could possibly live with a compatible female dog depending on the breed but no cats. He could also live in a house with dog-savvy children 16+. Chase needs a home were his adopters have large breed experience as well as the strength to walk this friendly giant! If you are interested in applying for our big boy Chase, please send a completed perfect match form to info@rspcasouthport.net

German Shepherd lovers…… we introduce, Monty. He’s our 2 year old German Shepherd wanting to start his new life with the Perfect Family and the best support!
He is young and friendly boy who didn’t have the best start to life. He can be a little anxious and unsure but he leans on ‘his person’ for reassurance. He enjoys his walks and he walks well on a lead. He enjoys being brushed however this does need to be taken slowly.
As he is young and didn’t have the greatest start in life, he is still training and learning new things everyday, and he will need this to continue in his new home. We’re looking for someone (or a family) that has experience with the breed, and can understand his needs for reassurance, that can work through his anxiety and continue his training in a fun a positive way. He also needs to be taught that it is okay to be alone, and small steps will need to be made to be able to leave him alone for longer periods of time.
We believe Monty should be the only pet in the household in order for him to truly decompress and be able to relax, and we do believe he would flourish as the only pet, with all of the attention (deservedly) on him. He needs a home where someone can be around in order to teach him he can be left and it’s not that scary to have some alone time, but this does need working on. We believe he could live with children 14+ that have lived with dogs before, and know how to respect boundaries, particularly as this boy learns how to be a well-loved pet.
Monty will make an excellent addition to a household, providing his new family continue with his training and he has some structure and routine to his life to help him settle and thrive.
To adopt Monty, please complete a Perfect Match form, found on our website, and send it over to us at info@rspcasouthport.net to be considered. Please note, we only reply to successful applicants due to the volume of applications we receive.

TEMP HOLD
Stormy
Stormy is a friendly older girl at 8 years old who loves people and lots of attention and interaction. She enjoys her walks offsite walking lovely on the lead and taking in her environment. She can be a little anxious at times as she just wants to spend as much time with her humans as possible. She is an active girl and would love lots of adventures with her new family. She will need to be shown that it is ok to be left positively and at her pace. She is looking for a home with no other pets, children 16+ and someone who is home most of the day.
If you are interested in adopting our Stormy, please fill out and send a perfect match form to info@rspcasouthport.net

Paddy
TEMP HOLD
Everyone give a warm welcome to Paddy. Our 2-year-old American Bull dog cross who is on a search to find his forever home. When Paddy came to RSPCA care he was emaciated. Luckily Paddy found himself being taken into a foster home where, over the past couple of months, they have put a lot of time and effort into building him back up to a healthy weight. Due to this, he has learnt to be a well-mannered and gentle boy and his foster home have nothing but lovely things to say about him. Paddy is such a sweet lad who is very good in the home and loves a good cuddle on the sofa. He is often out and about exploring new places with his fosterers and other friendly dogs. Paddy has spent a bit of time walking with children too, and he knows to be gentle when walking with them. Paddy is toilet trained and travels well in the car, as he is used to going on many trips to the woods. This young chap is on the bigger side, so at 30kgs needs an owner who is confident at walking a larger dog as Paddy can pull quite strong on the lead.We think that Paddy could live with children of primary school age or older. And could possibly live with dog-savvy cats. Paddy may also be able to live with a calm, well-established dog if introduced correctly and if they are a good match (e.g. size and temperament). If you are interested in adopting our Paddy, please fill out and send a perfect match form to info@rspcasouthport.net

Tilly
Meet Tilly, the beautiful 7 month old Lurcher, looking for her space on the sofa.
Upon arrival, Tilly was very nervous, she didn’t understand what a collar or lead was, she’d certainly never wore a harness and it didn’t seem she knew how to relax. Oh how that has changed!
Tilly has been with some of our foster carers that have taught her how to be a much loved pet and she has flourished in a home environment. Our animal care team have taught her that a collar and lead are okay, and they actually mean that she’s going for an adventure, rather than something to be scared of.
Initially Tilly can be reserved, until she realises she is safe, she does relax and let her personality shine. In her foster home, Tilly has lived with a confident dog, so we believe a friendly dog would benefit her in a new environment, providing slow and friendly introductions are made. Due to her breed and their nature to chase, we don’t think she should live with a cat. We think Tilly could live with children 6+.
To adopt Tilly, please fill out a Perfect Match form, which can be found on our website, and send it over to us on info@rspcasouthport.net for assessment. Please note, we do only respond to successful applicants due to the volume of applications we receive.

Bella
Calling all German Shepherd lovers (again!)...... Let me introduce you to Bella – Our 3 year old Shepherd wanting life-long love and affection.
Bella hasn’t had a great first few years, so she’s still learning new things daily and this needs to continue and be supported in her new home. She loves people, thrives off of interaction, and the enrichment of her ongoing training. Bella is intelligent and her training is coming along well, she knows her basic commands and is really enjoying having her mind worked. Bella enjoys being brushed and will lean into you when stroked.
Due to her past (though we don’t know too many details about it) Bella needs to learn that its okay to be left alone. We believe she would thrive in a home as the only pet, where she can be your focus and continue to training she both needs and also loves! We’re looking for a home with experience of a German Shepherd to continue her training and slowly encourage her to be in a place where she feels she can be alone for a short while.
We believe Bella would be best suited to a home where children have been around dogs before and are 15+, we don’t think she’d be suitable to live with cats, and again, no other dogs so she can receive your full attention (she really deserves it!).
To apply for Bella, please complete a Perfect Match Form, found on our website, and email it over to info@rspcasouthport.net and we’ll have it assessed! Please note, due to the volume of applications we receive, we do only respond to successful applicants.

Pixie is a sweet and affectionate girl, who always greets you with a wagging tail! She has proven to be friendly with other small dogs she’s met here at the centre. She is affectionate and enjoys the company of our animal care staff! We believe Pixie would suit a home where children are 5+, where they may be a friendly cat that has previously lived with dogs, and other friendly dogs, providing a slow and positive introduction is made. We do think however, that Pixie would like someone to be around for a good part of the day as she really does thrive off of company and interaction.

Bella has proved to be friendly with other small dogs she has met here at the centre, so we believe she would be able to live in a home with another friendly dog, providing that slow and positive introductions are made. Cats for Adoption
We’ve got a variety of cats, waiting for their happy ever after.
Meet them below.
Sable

Say a big hello to the beautiful Sable! She is 6 years old and ready to venture out and find her forever family with the purrfect lap to call her own. Sable is a sweet girl but can be a little unsure when it comes to the unknown and lively environments. She has been lucky enough to spend some time in a foster home, where we can trial her in different situations in a controlled manner to see how she would react. For this reason, we believe that the Perfect Match for Sable would be a calm adult only home, where she could be the only pet. Sable will need plenty of time and TLC to adapt to her new environment and family, but once settled she takes every opportunity to sit on your lap!
Could you be the one to build that unbreakable bond? See below to see a video from Sable's foster home of her playing with her favourite toy!
If you feel like you have a Sable shaped space on your lap, fill out a Perfect Match form (found on our website) and send it over to us at info@rspcasouthport.net
Max and Charles

Greetings from Max and Charles, 2 bonded brothers that are ready for their new home together! They are both just over 1 year old, they do however have contrasting personalities!
Max, the paler ginger of the 2 boys is overall relaxed and happy. He is confident and really looks out for his warier brother, Charles. Since coming into the cattery, Max has been accepting of his new environment and enjoying the attention of staff and volunteers alike. Max loves to be brushed, he favours tease toys however not overly playful but that may well change in a home environment.
Charles, the more ‘marmalade’ ginger of the 2, proves to be quieter and more reserved than his brother. He initially found his new environment to be stressful, but with the help of his brother and a little TLC he has become more relaxed. He enjoys hiding in the comfort of his bed, however is becoming a little more confident as we have found he is more accepting of contact and is very much open to bribery and corruption of the food variety! He will need a home that can be patient with him and understand he will need a little time to come out of himself.
Both boys use their litter tray well, are comfortable with their cat flap, and from reports from their previous home have not been known to scratch at furniture.
We believe these stunning brothers would be best suited to a home with children aged 14+ due to Charles’ reserved nature, a cat savvy dog or friendly cat would be okay as the boys have previously lived with dogs and cats before. To live with other animals, they would need a very slow introduction to allow Charles to settle well into his new home.
To adopt these charmers, please fill out a Perfect Match form (found on our website) and send it over to info@rspcasouthport.net
Please note, we only respond to successful applications due to the volume of applications we receive daily. If you don’t hear back from us, please presume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
Sprout

Hi guys, my name is Sprout, and I am looking to find my forever sofa in a home to snooze on. I am described by the staff here as the sweet old retired lady, as they say I am around 13 years old - whatever that means.I am hoping that someone out there is wanting me as a little companion to keep each other company. I looove snoozing, why run around when there is a perfectly warm plush surface to relax on?I do thoroughly enjoy human interaction, some gentle slow strokes are so relaxing to me, and I like to show my appreciation of the fuss by making my quiet purr. I also love when the staff bring out the brush, it feels very good gliding through my fur, helping clean and remove the bits of fur that I can't quite reach now.I like the quiet life, no sudden noises or movements, just calm and peaceful. I have had a hard life, I was found straying just a few months ago, and now I just want to feel safe in a warm cosy home; where I can also have a nosey outside when I feel like getting up, as the sun is like natures personal heater. I have a couple imperfections so I hear the staff say, such as my tail is stubby due to past injuries and they say that I am 'black' and people don't find black cats interesting apparently?Occasionally I like to show the staff a new hobby that I have taken up recently, called 'yoga' I think I am pretty good at it, you will have to see the photos that someone got of me practising my skills. I hope my new family will be supportive of my little hobby.I really want a home where it is just me and my people. No other pets but me. I really hope that the people who are interested in me live as peaceful as a life as I do, and that there aren't any noises little humans running about, I don't fancy that.I really hope that someone will let me live out the rest of my years in their home.If you are interested in adopting our little Sprout, please fill out a perfect match form and send it to info@rspcasouthport.net.
Fudge – An Independent Cat Looking for Understanding Owners
Fudge is a unique girl who’s had a tough start in life. She’s what we call an “Inbetweener” cat – not quite feral, but not your typical pet cat either. While she’s made real progress with us, Fudge is still learning to trust people and needs a very specific kind of home to truly thrive.
In her first few weeks at the centre, we’ve noticed that even quiet, well-meaning attention can feel overwhelming for Fudge. Raised voices, prolonged eye contact, or hands-on interaction too early can make her feel defensive. What she needs most in those early days is time, space, and to be largely left to settle on her own terms.
At first, Fudge will likely be what we call a “lodger” cat – someone who quietly shares your home, simply needing food, water, and a clean litter tray. As she settles in, if her boundaries are respected, she’ll begin to build trust at her own pace.
We’ve found that staff members who take a gentle, hands-off approach and allow Fudge to initiate contact are rewarded with sweet petting sessions and gentle meows of greeting. These special moments are always on her terms – and when she’s had enough, she’ll quietly walk away and curl up in a comfy spot.
Her ideal home is calm and quiet, without other pets or children. A single person or a couple would suit her best. She needs the freedom to explore the house from day one, without being confined to one room or pressured to interact. This helps her feel less cornered and more in control.
Fudge isn’t a lap cat and may never be one – and that’s perfectly okay. But she has so much potential. With patience and a truly respectful, hands-off approach, she will come out of her shell and reward your understanding with trust, affection, and those quietly magical moments that make it all worthwhile.
If you’re looking for a meaningful, slow-building bond with a cat who will surprise you in the most heart warming ways, Fudge might just be your perfect match.
If you feel this way, please email us at info@rspcasouthport.net and we’ll send you a Perfect Match form to kick start the adoption process.

Jessie
Dearest Jessie, our 2 year old semi long haired Queen, is ready to find her people who can help her understand that the world isn’t such a scary placeJessie has flourished in her time with us here at the centre, though she is still a little timid. She enjoys interaction and affection in her own time and doesn’t like to be rushed, she is appreciative of those who respect her space and her boundaries by allowing her to approach and initiate contact. Jessie is quite vocal however and will happily talk to you about her day- we all need to vent occasionally!Jessie has shown interest in playing with toys, particularly string toys, but playtime will need to be introduced into her new environment slowly as she is still wary and can be startled by quick movement. She is a gentle soul that needs to be given time and space to truly come out of herself, she is really good at feigning confidence but underneath she is still a worried babe. She would benefit from a quiet, adult-only home with no children, where she can settle at her own pace without being overwhelmed. Jessie can share a home with another friendly and laidback cat as long as slow and positive introductions are made, we also believe that a home with dogs would be too much for Jessie. To adopt, please send a Perfect Match Form over to us at info@rspcasouthport.net – Please note, due to the volume of applications we receive, we only tend to contact those that are successful.
Walter White has been cooking up the Perfect Plan for a new home!
Walter is 2 years old and a sweet, gentle boy who loves affection and will purr when stroking him. He seems confident around the cattery and will venture out to explore. He seems relaxed in his surroundings and will play in his pod or find comfort to sleep on his chair or in his bed. Walter isn't hiding away and isn't displaying anxious behaviour signs. He seems to enjoy the presence of other cats and can engage in nice play. He isn't afraid to ask for more affection. He seems to choose affection over play when around people he trusts, however he isn’t too keen on being picked up and will wriggle and push away until he’s back on his own four paws. When grooming him, he seems unphased - may lean into the brush and slightly purr but I think he tolerates it more than likes it.
His experience with cats seem to be positive and pleasant. He can engage in play with others but also respect their boundaries if they are unsure or just want to be calm. Walter can be rehomed with cats and dogs as long as positive and slow introductions are made. Walter can live with cat savvy and respectful children of primary school age who know to take it nice and slow.
To apply for Walter, please complete a Perfect Match form (found on our website) and return it to us at info@rspcasouthport.net
*Please note, due to the volume of applications we receive, we do only contact successful applicants*

Meet🐼 Panda 🐼, he’s 5 years old and looking for his happily ever after!Panda's charm makes us believe he'll have no problem finding his new home! He is looking for somewhere he can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy the one-on-one attention he clearly adores. Though initially a little unsure, once he has realised he can get your affection, he seeks it and is more than happy to receive all of the strokes! He’s a curious and playful cat who enjoys interactive toys, especially a wand toy he can chase and pounce on.We believe Panda would do best in a quiet home with adults or older, cat-savvy children (aged 12+), who can respect his boundaries and give him space when needed. We have recently learned that Panda loves feline company, so providing a slow introduction is made, we believe he could live with a friendly cat. Sounds good right? To adopt, please send a Perfect Match Form over to us at info@rspcasouthport.net – Please note, due to the volume of applications we receive, we only tend to contact those that are successful.

Patch
Patch here is our 1 year old girl – she’s finally ready to take a leap of faith and find her new home! She has come a long way since she came to us, she has evolved into a gentle girl and each day she is becoming more and more curious. These days, Patch is more comfortable in her surroundings than she initially was – often found relaxing in her bed, more recently exploring her outside area, all on her own! With slow introductions and lots of TLC we believe Patch’s sweet nature will flourish and she’ll soon come out of her shell for the right family Initially, Patch came from a very busy multi cat household, where she was likely overlooked and would not have received the same affection nor attention she would have done in a less populated home, so we believe Patch would need a more mature home with cat savvy children aged 16+ that can understand Patch needs time and space to come out on her own terms. We have recently learned that Patch loves feline company, so providing a slow introduction is made, we believe she could live with a friendly cat. Patch is the kind of cat who rewards patience and respect with deeply meaningful moments of connection. The more you let her set the pace, the more she’ll show you just how special she is.Are you able to offer Patch the tranquillity she deserves? To adopt, please send a Perfect Match Form over to us at info@rspcasouthport.net – Please note, due to the volume of applications we receive, we only tend to contact those that are successful.

Squeaky
Reserved
Stripey
Reserved
Stripey is our 10 month old male cat who has come a long way since first arriving at the centre. Initially very withdrawn and wary, he spent much of his time hiding and keeping to himself. However, with time, Stripey has made remarkable progress. These days, he can often be seen dashing up and down the cattery during his energetic bursts, showing off his playful side. He has a real love for toys and will happily entertain himself with a variety of them. Although initially wary of new people, Stripey warms up quickly when approached with calm voices and gentle movements. He frequently greets familiar faces with head bumps and affectionate rubs, and once comfortable, he thoroughly enjoys a fuss. He’s still a little skittish around sudden or unfamiliar noises, but he has improved significantly and recovers much more quickly than he did in the past. When it comes to grooming, Stripey may be a bit hesitant at first, especially with new experiences like brushing. However, once reassured, he relaxes and appears to enjoy the attention. His growing confidence and affectionate nature are shining through more each day. He enjoys playing both alone and with human companions. Stripey would be well suited to a calm and understanding home, where his new family can continue to nurture his confidence. He would be happy living with other friendly cats and could also adapt to a home with a laidback, cat-friendly dog, provided introductions are done slowly and positively. Stripey could also live with cat-savvy children of primary school age who understand that he may need a little space from time to time. Overall, Stripey is a sweet, affectionate, and playful young cat with so much potential. With a bit of patience and a loving home, he’s sure to blossom even further. If you are interested in adopting Stripey, please fill out a perfect match form and send it to info@rspcasouthport.net.
Say hello to Squeaky, our 2 year old domestic short haired girl looking to find her forever home.
Squeaky is a very sweet girl who likes to make sure her name doesn't go to waste... she loves to greet you with squeaks and chirps of excitement when you go to enter her pod. This little lady is very friendly and loves to keep you company, especially if it means lots of strokes for her.
When Squeaky first arrived at the cattery, she was a bit skittish and scared of new environments and any loud or sudden noises. Over the time she has spent with us she has gotten a lot more confident. Although she can still be a bit nervous, we’re sure she’ll blossom in a home environment.
Squeaky loves lots of affection. She also loves a good brush. Even though her hair is short, brushing her to get rid of loose fur will help keep her coat shiny and maintained as well as help create a lovely bond between you and Squeaky.
Our little Squeaky loves to hop onto your knee and receive lots of strokes and ear scratches. She will happily do this with anyone who goes into her pod and sits down. She loves human interaction and she likes to follow us staff and volunteers around while we clean. The only sort of contact that Squeaky is not a fan of is being picked up for more than a few seconds. We believe her play levels will increase once she has settled into a home environment. She particularly likes to chase toys, especially ones on a string so that you can play with her.
Squeaky also knows how to use her cat flap as well as her litter trays.
Whilst in our care, Squeaky has had a few nice interactions with other cats, due to this, we believe she will be able to live with another friendly and calm cat, but no dogs.
She could able to live with cat-savvy children 8 years old or above who know to respect her boundaries as well as give her plenty of time to settle in and get used to her new home.
To adopt Squeaky, please fill out a Perfect Match form and send it to us at info@rspcasouthport.net

Paddy
Paddy – Our 2-year-old feline friend looking for a fresh start.
Paddy came to us through no fault of his own when circumstances changed at home and the owner was unable to keep him anymore. After many tears and a few weeks of settling into his new, strange environment, Paddy has really shown his personality to those who he’s comfortable with.
Considering his sudden upheaval, Paddy has bounced back well. He initially started off quite nervous and showed his displeasure with his new home but as he has settled he is becoming more confident and affectionate with our cattery staff. We’re looking for Paddy to go to a home that will understand he’ll need a little patience (and some gentle dreamies coercion) before he shows his true personality.
From Paddy’s previous life in his old home, we believe that Paddy would be best suited to a home where there are no dogs, he could live with another friendly cat providing that slow and calm introductions are made, and we think he would be best off in an environment where children are 12+.

Meet Henry – Our 2-year-old boy looking for his happily ever after.
Henry was initially quite apprehensive when he came to us. Though he is still rather reserved in nature, he is gentle and tolerant, and quite often can be found relaxing in his bed watching the world go by. With those he’s familiar with he enjoys short petting sessions; leaning into an offering hand and happily accepting a little fuss. He bodes well with those that respect his boundaries and understand he just needs a bit of time to acclimate.
We believe Henry would thrive in a calm, quiet home; where he can really find himself, as well as form a great bond with his new family. Henry would be okay to live with a friendly cat, providing slow and positive introductions are made; but he is not to rehomed with dogs. Children aged 12+ who can respect him and his boundaries and will allow Henry to flourish.
To adopt, please fill out a Perfect Match Form (found on our website) and send over to us on info@rspcasouthport.org.
