To report animal cruelty or neglect, please call the National RSPCA on 0300 1234 999 (8am to 7:30pm). Please do not call our Centre as we do not have any inspectors who are based at our site.

Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch is a separately Registered Charity to the National RSPCA, which is completely reliant upon donations, legacies and monies raised through its Charity Shop, together with the public’s generous support of our locally run fundraising events.

We aim to support the national RSPCA through our rehoming work and by promoting its animal welfare objectives.

Our Animal Centre based on New Cut Lane is operational 365 days of the year and cares for cats and dogs.

With rising monthly costs, your support is vital.

Could you join our Safe Haven appeal to sponsor a kennel or cat pod today?

The monthly subscription to 'Safe Haven' is from as little as £5.00 a month for a cat and £10 a month for a dog.

By becoming a sponsor you will receive a 'Safe Haven' Certificate, a copy of any newsletter and updates of our fund-raising events.

Plus you will have the pleasure of knowing that you are doing something practical to help.

Opening Hours

Open from 11:00am to 4.00pm for supervised animal viewing strictly by appointment only*

We are closed on Wednesday.

Also open on all Bank Holidays except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. (and observed alternative days)

*Supervised viewing means that we do not allow the public to walk around the Animal Centre without first identifying an animal they would potentially like to adopt by completing a 'Perfect Match' form. You will then be given an appointment and escorted throughout your visit.
